About Vickie...

When it comes to Yoga, you want to know that your teacher is experienced, knowledgeable, and above all, has a practice that existed long before their certification period. Vickie has been dedicated to her practice and to sharing yoga with others for more than twenty years. She finally made it official in 2005, receiving her 200-hour teaching certification with the Yoga Alliance through the Barefoot Studio under Matt and Holly Krepps in Little Rock, Arkansas. She went on to complete her 500-hour training at the Himalayan Institute in 2012.

Certification, however, is only one small part of Vickie's commitment to her practice and her students. She continues to study and practice daily, integrating yoga into her everyday life. She has developed an understanding of yoga from a personal, physical, and intellectual perspective. In this way, she is able to establish meaningful and compassionate connections with her students.

What kind of yoga...?

Classes are accessible to most people, regardless of age, fitness or flexibility level, or body type. Whether you are an absolute beginner with no flexibility, or a seasoned practitioner, these classes are beneficial. Yoga 101 promotes a gentle, safe, authentic practice, rooted in yogic philosophy, that encourages inner focus and mental stability as well as physical fitness and dexterity.

Each class ends with deep relaxation. The studio is free of visual distractions, loud music, "hot" rooms, and trendy yoga fads.
